Home Cooked Meal Program

MESI’s Home Cooked Meal Program provides guests of MESI an effortless, warm, and nutritious meal from community members. Volunteers can bring a home cooked meal once and/or at their convenience throughout the year. The Home Cooked Meal Program serves an average of 30 individuals and/or families residing at the shelter. Although the shelter has a full sized kitchen with food, residents do not always have the time, resources, or knowledge to make a meal for themselves.
If you would like to provide a home cooked meal, meal donations are accepted 7 days a week, between the hours of 8:00AM-8:00PM. Volunteers who have prepared a meal are not required to call in advance before bringing the meal. If you have any further questions regarding the Home Cooked Meal program, please contact staff at info@mesikansas.org or call during business hours.
